SPEED WALK OR MOVE OUT DI WEY

SPEED WALK OR MOVE OUT DI WEY

The day started off with me getting ready for Comic Con. I had a cute lil anime-inspired outfit picked out, nails appointment on the schedule, and a full day planned. But the second I stepped outside in my jean jacket, reality hit—it was way too breezy for that fit 😭.

I still went and got my nails done (a non-negotiable, obviously), but while I was out, a voice in my head said, “Girl, get your priorities straight. You came to this city to work.” So, I switched gears and headed straight to MOOD Fabrics to hunt for materials for a new coat. Discipline first, fun later—that’s how I keep myself in check.

After that, the real adventure began. I asked TikTok for some tips on navigating the city, and the #1 rule that came up over and over: Don’t walk slow.” I didn’t realize they meant speed walk like you’re training for the Olympics.

Y’all… I was damn near having an asthma attack trying to keep up 😭. I had a Cutwater in hand, so you can imagine me half-tipsy, speed-walking, grinning from ear to ear like a maniac—probably looking like the happiest lost person in Manhattan.

But here’s the thing: that moment lowkey felt symbolic. I was at one of the biggest train stations—42nd Street—and funny enough, 42 is my favorite number. It’s always been a spiritually tuned-in number for me. And right there, while I was literally lost in the tunnels, I decided to just trust the process.

I stopped overthinking, followed the flow, and told myself, “Act like you know where you’re going until you get there.” And somehow… I did.

That’s when it hit me: life’s kinda the same way. You don’t always need to know the full route or every turn ahead. Sometimes, you just have to keep moving, trust your intuition, and follow the signs. Eventually, your path becomes clear.
